The US has opened investigations into Cornell University, Cooper Union and Columbia University after complaints about anti-Semitic and Muslim harassment amid the Israel-Palestine war. The investigations are part of the Office for Civil Rights’ efforts “to take aggressive action to address the alarming nationwide rise in reports of antisemitism, anti-Muslim, anti-Arab and other forms of discrimination”.
Students studying computer science can now have access to Khanmigo’s ChatGPT tool for courses such as computer science. This comes after the startup signed a five-year, $100 million contract with UNESCO to make the tool available to students on its platform. Khanmigo had earlier claimed that it would give students access to its software for free.

The US Treasury Department has released new guidance outlining how car dealers can give customers instant access to the electric vehicle Rebate (EVR). Buyers will have to confirm that they fall within the income limits outlined in the tax credit rules before accepting the rebate. Dealers will be able to track the progress in real time through an online portal.
